WHYBL has once again partnered with the Central Connecticut Fall Baseball League this Fall.  This centrally located and organized league offers our teams plenty of game action against other towns throughout the fall.  You can expect 2 games every weekend, one Saturday and one Sunday, with a few exceptions, depending on scheduling. Teams will also practice one night a week. The season will run from approximately August 24th through the middle/end of October.  Generally each weekend one game will be in West Hartford and one game will be on the road in another town (this is the general rule, but will not always be the case). Teams will have access to our new indoor baseball facility in Bloomfield for team practices.

Your child's baseball age might be different for Fall Baseball than it was in the Spring, as CCFBL (our Fall League partner) uses different age cutoff dates. Please check this chart http://www.ccfbl.org/age Finder.php or contact me at kevinhebertm@gmail.com or 860 670-4515.

12U – As in past years, based on registration numbers and activity there could be a need to form multiple teams.  In this age group this could potentially mean teams are formed based on criteria such as experience (experienced vs developmental/learning), desired level of coimpetition, etc.  We will communicate more once registration info is available.

12U 50/70: 1-2 Teams (Team 1: Coach Balcerzak; Team 2: Dan Moleti; Team 3 TBD. This division is for players that played this past spring season as 11 year olds or 10 year olds (in the Majors) and any strong 9 or 10 year old Minor League players who expect to play in the Majors in 2019.

10U: 1-2 Teams (Team 1: Coach Davidson; Team 2: Coach Sauer) This division is for 8-10 year olds who played in the Minors this Spring and expect to play in the Minors again in 2019.

8U: 2 Teams (Team 1: Coach Minahan; Team 2: Coach TBD) This is a player pitch league for players that were 7 and 8 years old this past spring and played in Instructional. Interested 6 year olds need to contact me first before registering.

Graduating 12 year olds should refer to WHABA for their transitional program for players moving up to the big diamond next spring.  Please contact Eric Mallinson, WHABA director of Fall Baseball for further information at eric.mallinson@comcast.net

Any question please feel free to contact Kevin Hebert at 860 670-4515 or kevinhebertm@ gmail.com

Jack also served on many committees and was especially active in fundraising activities for the League.
